Join Freeport Conservation Trust for a morning of hands-on trail stewardship at Sayles Field. Volunteers will work together to cut and remove invasive plant species that are crowding the trailhead area, including honeysuckle, bittersweet, multiflora rose, callery pear, and burning bush.
If time allows, additional trimming will take place along the field perimeter and nearby woods trails.
Pruning saws, pole saws, and loppers will be the primary tools for this session. Volunteers are welcome to bring their own tools or borrow tools provided by FCT.
