Address: 1528 U.S. Rte 1, Freeport, ME 04032
Join FCT staff for a guided walk through Simpson Woods, one of Freeport's most beloved conserved properties.
This beautiful preserve features mature forests, winding streams, fern-lined trails, and historic stone walls that offer a glimpse into the property's past. During the walk, participants will learn about Elizabeth Simpson's vision for the land and her commitment to ensuring it would remain protected for future generations.
Simpson Woods offers nearly two miles of trails and serves as a valuable ecological and community resource. FCT staff will share stories about the property's history, conservation, and stewardship while exploring one of Freeport's hidden woodland treasures.
Whether you're discovering Simpson Woods for the first time or revisiting a favorite trail, we hope you'll join us for this special opportunity to connect with the landscape and the community that helps protect it.
We will be hosting two sessions, the first walk will be at 12:30PM, and the second walk will be at 4:30PM. If you would like to attend, please meet us at 📍1528 U.S. Rte 1, Freeport, ME 04032.
