Parking for Leon Gorman Park is available in lots off School Street and Bow Street near downtown Freeport. The Bow Street entrance and parking area is closed seasonally from November 1 - April 1. The park has multiple access points from sidewalks and Bow Street Market, making it a popular neighborhood walk.

Donated to the town by L.L. Bean, Leon Gorman Park has a short (<0.5 mile) forested loop trail, picnic tables, a covered picnic pavilion and open field at the Bow Street entrance, and a small ice skating area. It is a lovely place for a quick stroll or picnic lunch and is within easy walking distance of main street. Trails are a soft dirt surface with several wide bridges and benches along the trail, offering a quick nature escape right in town.
