“While interning at Freeport Conservation Trust as their first Cadot Summer Intern, I have mainly been working on updating a 2012 age website as well as attending and leading biweekly Age Friendly Walks. Both tasks have been fairly rewarding. First because I have never updated a website before. It has been a great creative experience as well as an educational one as I get to know FCT and its history. Second, the biweekly Age Friendly Walks with FCS are something that I look forward to as they are an excuse to get outside. So far, there have been four guided walks with great turn out. Outside of these tasks, I spend my Fridays in the field taking photographs and exploring all the trails that FCT has to offer. I feel very lucky to have an internship where I get to hike as a portion of my job.”
