FCT Monthly Trail Crew: Join Us for a Bog Bridge Upgrade at Powell Point Preserve! 🌿

πŸ•£ Time: 8:30 AM
πŸ“ Where: Parking/turnaround area at the end of Lambert Road, Freeport

Mission: Upgrade 82 feet of bog bridging!

Tasks Include:

  • Breaking apart old bog bridging

  • Carrying in and out materials

  • Moving planks around

  • Pulling nails

  • Driving stakes

  • Reassembling the bog bridge

End Result: A wider, straighter, more even bridge!

Tools Needed:

  • Hammers

  • Cordless drills (for screws)

  • Small sledgehammers

  • Tape measures

  • Levels

  • BOOTS (it’s muddy!)

  • Bug spray

  • Gloves

FCT will provide at least one of each tool mentioned, but we could use extras if you have them:

  • Extra cordless drills (we have bits)

  • Another small sledgehammer

  • Another tape measure

  • Another crowbar
