You are invited to meet up, with your kayak, at 2 pm at the Burnett Road bridge on Wolf Neck for an outing to Pettengill Island. Or arrive at the island from your own launching spot in your preferred watercraft. From the bridge we will paddle around the end of Flying Point, north of Bustin’s Island, and over to the north end of Pettengill. It’s probably about 2 miles each way.
This island in Maquoit Bay has no human residents, but was home to nesting eagles this summer.
We’ll continue to keep watch to make sure the weather is favorable for this excursion. Call or email if you have questions or to let us know you are coming: 865-3985 x 212 or email@example.com
